This enlarged portion of a knife features a powdered Damascus dragon,
silver wire inlay, Mastodon ivory handle,
Stainless Steel Damascus blade (ladder pattern) and bolsters.

Finished Knife; 8 3/8" overall in length; blade 4 1/2". $950.

Damascus is created by folding layers and hammering
the hot metal. Patterns are created in Damascus steel
by fullering, cutting and twisting.

See the short video * of Tommy McNabb making Damascus.

Shown here are three examples of Damascus patterns.

Handles
can be plain and utilitarian, or they can be exotically carved bone or stag. Often a handle will reflect the theme of the knife and the sheath.

Scrimshaw

(an ancient art form)
adds beauty and tells the story the knife carrier wishes to reflect.

Different materials can be merged together as in this exotic handle blending a Stainless Steel Damascus Blade with Turquoise, Amber, Wood and Silver.

The knife on the right celebrates a 25th wedding anniversary trip to see the whales and records the event with an engraving on the blade.

Custom Engraving can be arranged, as this example of a 25th Wedding Anniversary Commemorative.

Engraving adds an decorative element
to a bolster or guard. Other samples.

Mother-of-Pearl Inlay combined with Engraving
is another way to make a knife handle look spectacular.
